Board-Wargame Albert Nofi's The Great War 1914-1918

Last Sunday my friends came over and we played a round of Al Nofi's the Great War 1914-1918. While not the best design it does accommodate five players. We had a good time, though me and Onur (UK, France, Belgium) were soundly defeated as the Entente Powers, with Russia and Serbia (controlled by me) being overrun by the start of 1915. The Central Powers (Doruk as Germany, Oguzhan as Austro-Hungaria and Nacho as the Ottomans) were able to focus on an overextended Russia and defeat it.

Lasalle: Ottomans vs. British

This Sunday, me , Nacho and Onur met up for a game of Lasalle. I had not played before. Nacho hosted and provided  Onur and me played the British (4 infantry units, 1 artillery, 1 cavalry) and Nacho the Ottomans (6-7 Infantry units, two artillery units). The game ended in a draw. We turned the flank but were not able to take the objective on time.

I found the system interesting, liked it more than Black Powder, Divisional games of Napoleonics .
