New Year Post! Happy 2018 to all!

Happy New Year to all of you, and especially my loyal blog followers. Health, Wealth, Joy, Peace to you and yours!.

I would like to update you all for the plans of 2018.

2017 was another good year of war-gaming for me. We completed our Bloody Big Battles “Last Century of the Ottomans” Campaign. I was almost done with the play-testing of my and Chris Pringle’s scenario supplement for Bloody Big Battles, focused on the 1st and 2nd Balkan Wars of 1912-1913, titled “Bloody Big Balkan Battles”. I even got some 40k Action in.

But 2018 has also brought some clarity and decision to clean slate. I am selling a lot of my stuff (you can see at Agora. My main goal is to sale in Turkey right now, but if you find something you like and are willing to cover the shipping costs, talk to me). This year my hobby plans are as follows

1) Finish the playtesting and writing of “Bloody Big Balkan Battles”, with a publish date target of either Summer 2018, or Winter 2018.

2) Paint my 10mm Pendraken Miniatures Austro-Saxon Army for the BBB Konningratz/Sadowa scenario.

3) Me, Onur and Nacho have become determined to do some later 17th century, early 18th century war gaming. Those of you who have been around this blog from the start, know that this blog began as part of an aborted attempt to get into the 18th Century Imagination gaming. Well some things never die, and we decided to go down the imagination path. We will be waging the “War of Varsovian Succession” using the “Might and Reason” rules, with the “Lion and Cresent” and “Sun King” expasions, and the Might and Reason seasonal campaign system (here is a preview of the map I created).

We decided to go for 1/72 scale figures. My forces, representing the Dominion of the House of Travlos (hey it is make believe and I will satisfy my ego), will be based on Imperial forces in the War of Spanish Succesion but are themed after the Venetian armies in the Great Turkish War. Nacho is building his based on Spanish Bourbon forces, fighting for the Great Kingdom of Sanchez, while Onur will fight using Ottomans, for the Onur Halil Pasha Beylik.

4) Once the BBBB supplement is done, focus fully on the board-game “Salvation and Catastrophe: The Greek-Turkish War of 1919-1923” (here is a preview of the cover illustration I made)

5) I am running a e-mail game for the board game “Iron and Blood”, based on the 1866 Seven Weeks War scenario.

6)  Do a scenario for Great War Spearhead based on the Battle of Skra Di Legen, preferably close to the anniversary of the a battle (May 2018).
